Job Description
Virtualization performance team is responsible for measuring the performance of KVM/ESXi/Hyper-V/HPVM on HP high-end servers. We are recruiting senior engineers to tune the performance on various hypervisors. The position requires candidates who are discerning about IT technologies, having the ability of fast learning, and enjoying in keeping the leading position!
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include:
Design and setup the performance test environments
Characterization on server, storage and network, or Hyper-V, ESXi, KVM, and apply them to improve the performance timely
Work with the partners like Microsoft, VMware, RedHat to improve the software performance
Conduct benchmark works as requested
Analyze the benchmark results and seek the opportunities for optimization
Tune the hypervisor, OS and applications to improve the overall performance
Communicate with the US team daily to keep the pace and efficiency
Requirements:
Bachelor, Master or PhD on CS, EE, IT, Maths, etc…
3+ years experience in Windows/Linux system programming, testing or tuning.
Good knowledge in at least one of ESX, KVM or Hyper-V.
Experience in multi-national working environment
Good English communication skills in both oral and written
Innovation, high-quality, self-motivated and enthusiastic
Knowledge Preferred:
Deep Knowledge on enterprise server, storage, or network
Solid knowledge on server architecture(x86, x86_64 or ia64)
Performance testing and profiling tools and methodology
Solid knowledge of C/C++ programming at both user space and kernel space
Solid knowledge of Powershell/Perl script |
