Dimension & Scope:
In a management capacity, areas of responsibility include but not limited to Project Management, Resource Management, Personnel Administration and Status Reporting. This is a leadership role, combining both management and technical.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
• Manage a team of software engineers. Responsible for selecting, training, developing, and managing performance of direct reports; providing prompt and objective coaching and counseling; and coordinating, planning, and assigning work for staff in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable legal requirements. Adjust hours of work, priorities, and staff assignments to ensure efficient operation, based on workload.
• Maintain technology advancement and skills training.
• Provide technical leadership to the team. Oversee architecture design. Offer technical insight to devise solution to complex issues.
• Review technical specifications, prepare estimates, lead and deliver software systems projects/releases with high quality. Work with assigned project manager. Meet project milestones and provide status. Ensure that standards for quality and quantity of work are met.
• Manage and assign reported software defects to team members. Follow through to issue resolution. Ensure predefined metrics on defect fix quality and turn around time for the team are met.
• Manage and support production issues from customers with a sense of urgency and flexibility.
• Manage and control source code repository for the development team. Delegate/coordinate work for environment engineers. Ensure environments are configured properly. Manage code deployments to various environments.
• Work closely with other product development teams in the US and India.
• Other leadership and management tasks as assigned.
Education & Professional Experience:
BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline from accredited college or university, with 5 to 8 years of professional experiences; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Candidate Profile/Qualifications:
• Extensive hands on experience with J2EE and related frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, Struts) and tools (Eclipse) (5+ years preferred).
• Extensive knowledge of object oriented languages, XML and RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and tools (5+ years preferred).
• Prior experience of team management is required. Good leadership exposure and people management skills. Ability to resolve conflict.
• At least 2+ years of software configuration management experience. Demonstrated ability to implement, document and maintain effective configuration management policies and tools. Hands on experience with software configuration management systems (CVS, Subversion) and software builds and releases. Hands-on knowledge of Ant and Maven.
• Prior experience with test and production issue management. Experience with software defect tracking tools (BugZilla, Clearquest, Quality Center, etc).
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle including software builds and release management.
• Demonstrated advanced technical aptitude and strong analytical skills.
• Mature and flexible, past experience in a MNC environment.
• Must possess excellent Interpersonal, organizational, time management, judgment, and decision-making skills. Willing to accept responsibility and accountability.
• Excellent communication skills in both Mandarin and English.
• Multi-task and maintain composure in stressful and demanding work environment.

Job Description:
1.Develop embedded automotive software as part of a global software development team.
2.Provide low level software support for custom boards that will be used in active safety products and demonstrations around the world.

Requirements:
Basic:
1. Minimum of 2--3 years experience in embedded Linux development
2.Proficient in C
3.Familiar with PowerPC and/or ARM architecture
4.Familiar with U-Boot toolchain and porting to custom development boards.
5.Familiar with Embedded Linux toolchains, cross-compiling, and remote debugging.
6.Experience in low level Linux driver development
7.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good teamwork adaptability, good read and written English skills, self-motivated
8.Ability to read schematics, identify parts and interpret datasheets
Plus:

Software engineer
Responsibility:
1, to analyze the system requirements from customer and generate software design requirement specification
2, embedded software design, include design document writing, coding, unit test, integration test, debug code with target board
3, fix software issue happened in software validation and bench/vehicle test
4, cooperate with US software team
Requirements:
1, university Degree in electronic or electromechanical engineering
2, at least 3 years experience in software code writing, and take part in product design, and exactly implement one or more software module in the product.
2, thorough knowledge and understanding of microprocessor structure, familiar with communication bus in embedded system, and have exactly experience used one of them.
3, experience of automotive communication protocols, like KWP2000, ISO9141, high speed CAN
4, have experience in using emulator, debugging, unit testing and integration testing.

Plans, develops, and conducts tests on electronic components, products, and systems
by performing the following duties:
- Development of software for the tests of electronic circuits
- Development of electronic circuits to test and verify electronic circuits
- Evaluation of test data from validation testing
- Development of testing procedures for the verification of electronic circuits
- Directs and coordinates electronic engineering activities concerned with development,
procurement, installation, and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices required to test, telemeter, record, and reduce test data.
- Confers with scientific, engineering, and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data and data interpretation.
- Analyzes and interprets test data and prepares technical reports for use by electronic engineering and management personnel.
- Develops or uses computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
- 3+ years related experience and/or training
- Programming skills in Visual Basic and Access
- Ability to use bench test equipment
- Experience with the integration of data acquisition hardware and software into personal

- prefer the candidate was experienced in LabVIEW and Visual Basic, or in OrCAD or other circuit design software
- Experience in developing test equipment for a manufacturing environment
