ESX4.1的IO性能问题及sco 5.0.x smp问题

HP DL580G5 2颗4核CPU，8G内存，8个300G硬盘做RAID1+0，P400阵列卡256缓存，无电池。
安装ESX4.1版本，登录之后，多次使用
dd if=/dev/zero of=/tmp/test bs=1024k count=1000
提示速度有136Mb/s左右，但多次使用
dd if=/dev/zero of=/vmfs/volumes/Storage1/test bs=1024k count=1000
提示速度只有10Mb/s左右。导致虚拟机的IO性能很差，一般的普通服务器，安装REDHAT，使用以上dd命令，有70Mb/s~146Mb/s。

为什么vmfs文件系统的IO性能这么差呢？不知道大家的性能如何？

安装SCO 5.0.7（包括5.0.5/5.0.6） SMP（重启之后或者同时装MP5），都显示
WARNING: CPU2 boot failure
WARNING: CPU3 boot failure
WARNING: CPU4 boot failure

如果安装oss674a，那么就停在"E mp_setup"挂住
试了很多办法都不管用，但同样的机器装ESX4.0，再安装SMP，怎么装都没有问题

有没有哪位在esx4.1上成功安装并使用SMP的？

记得测试过esx 4.1下安装507，设置2个CPU是没有问题的

从 esx4.1中安装了smp的507迁移到esx4.0，启动之后，smp能够正常运行，可以识别到4个CPU。sco505迁移过去，还是不行。

Problem
          When OSR507V version 2 appliance is imported onto an ESX 4.1 or ESXi
          4.1 host and the SMP feature is selected during configuration, the
          additional processors cannot be enabled.
           
          Each additional processor is reported:
           
             WARNING:  CPUn boot failure
           
          All the virtual processors are seen by the kernel, but only CPU 1
          (boot processor) is enabled.

          "cpuonoff -a 2" does not report an error, but CPU2 is not enabled.





Solution
          This has been reported to VMware and VMware confirmed that the problem
          is due to a bug in vSphere 4.1.

          VMware have reported that they are working on a fix for this issue.

ESX上面跑VM有个vmware-tools，性能方面这个很关键，现在VM越来越依赖这个东西。
我们的环境，如果vmware-tools版本有点问题，性能都差很大。

昨天在ESX4.0上部署了SCO 507分配了8G内存、4颗CPU，CPU倒是起来了，但是系统感觉运行很慢，解tar包的时候很卡，磁盘瓶颈很厉害。另外ESX4.0下的sco系统好像网卡只有10M，换了E1000驱动后貌似好点，但是还没有测试过速度增加多少。
