Missions
1。 Support and maintain various Microsoft servers and the APAC network
1.1 Dealing with daily operations of these systems, including but not limited to NetApp FAS3050C, HP MSA1000, IBM DS4700, SUN StorageTek L1400, HP MSL2024, HPMSL 6060, Symantec NetBackup 6.5, Microsoft Windows 2008, Microsoft Windows 2003
1.2 Install, maintain and upgrade backup & data storage hardware and software
1.3 Ensures enterprise scalability and performance for storage and backups environments through proactive capacity planning, performance monitoring and configuration tuning; analyzes and reports system performance
1.4 Answer user’s query and service requests in the ticketing system
1.5 Provide training to the users of data storage
1.6 Routine optimization tasks of backup and data storage
1.7 Enforce backup and data storage security policies and procedures
1.8 Maintain documentation regarding configuration, operating and troubleshooting procedures, and service records relating to backup & data storage hardware and software
1.9 Troubleshoots and resolves backup failures, errors, problems and performs root cause analysis
1.10 Engages with HW and software vendors and other internal teams to diagnose and resolve root cause failures
1.11 Assists in evaluating new requirements, technical design and standards
1.12 Leads in definition of build and test standards, guidelines, best practices and production of metrics as directed
2。 Participate in projects
2.1 Take part in new projects, undertake tasks assigned to you
2.2 Evaluate vendor recommendations or new hardware/software
Specific/Technical Competencies
The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of 3 years in Backup & Data Storage Systems Administration within a large organization. We are looking for an autonomous, responsible and dynamic person that wants to take part in an ambitious and passionate team. You must possess an excellent team spirit and you have good troubleshooting skills. You are devoted to offering an irreproachable service to the users.
1. 3+ years of experience in Backup & Data Storage systems administration in a large organization.
2. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a computer-related field
3. Excellent English (CET-6 or above)
4. You are familiar with Veritas NetBackup Operation Manager and/or NetApp Operation Manageer and know how to manage storage appliance in various ways.
5. You must also have general knowledge of Cisco network equipment, routers and switches, and Cisco / Brocade FC switch. A good knowledge of Internet technologies and concepts such as DNS, routing protocols, TCP and UDP and higher level protocols such as HTTP, SMTP and FTP is important
6. Must be a self-starter that requires only limited supervision/guidance
7. Good knowledge of SAN, NAS
8. Good knowledge of NetApp FAS Active / Active Cluster
9. Good Knowledge of Veritas Netbackup
10. Good Knowldege of HP EVA
11. Good Knowledge of NDMP
12. Good Knowledge of IBM DS4000 & HP MSA1000
13. General Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server / Active Directory
14. General knowledge of Linux
15. Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization
16. Ability to work effectively in a fast paced changing environment -- multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner |
