Responsibilities
Single-point responsibility for bringing products to market and deliver results.
Identify customer segments and market opportunities, formulate product strategies and long-term roadmaps, analyze detailed requirements and be deeply involved in design and development process.
Build functional and user experience specs for next generation mobile search and information discovery products.
Make functional prioritization decisions with limited information. Communicate the product roadmap within the organization and externally for partners and customers.
Work with user research to understand how users engage with our search products.
Work with carriers and device manufactures to integrate Yahoo! Search products within their devices.

Ability to interacting with and influence senior executives with strong product vision.

Qualifications
· Combined 8+ years of experience in poduct management/marketing, consumer product design and/or internet software development.
· Experience with a variety of mobile platforms (Webkit, HTML5 technologies, Blackberry iPhone, Android) desired.
· Understanding of how mobile web /app services usage patterns vary across the globe.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Ability to handle multiple projects at once.
· BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, HCI, or Math desired.

Responsibilities include:
Build and maintain a high-performance operational team, accepting nothing short of excellence in managing the day-to-day responsibilities of the organization.
Attract and hire critical top-performing talent into the team
Rapidly develop a deep knowledge of the Yahoo! Regional Products and Technologies and develop a close working relationship with the Product development team and other teams who you support and rely on.
Represent the team in cross-functional management forums regarding technical, product and incident topics. Requires a working “hands-on” technical understanding of the systems, products, architectures and issues involved.
Determine where to allocate service engineering resources across the myriad of opportunities to deliver maximum impact on site availability, performance, maintainability and cost.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is required. Master degree and/or MBA is highly desirable.
Minimum of 10 years in leadership positions managing highly technical teams in support of large mission-critical, highly scalable distributed systems Infrastructure. Experience in the Internet domain is highly desirable.
Proven track record of attracting, hiring and retaining top-talent.
Significant hands-on experience with systems (Linux & Windows)
Experience with complex software product/service delivery architectures that involve multiple components supporting large high-volume mission-critical consumer-facing Internet environments.
Strong project management skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects.
Though leadership in managing large teams.
Knowledge of typical global enterprise network configurations and environments
Track record of strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with people with variety of technical and cultural backgrounds.
Track record in successfully working with distributed and remote teams.

Position Summary:
Release management is the definition, support, and enforcement of processes for transferring software to production. We are looking for a senior release engineer to work with the backend platform team to provide release management across the Mobile Platform product line. This position will be responsible for planning, defining and leading a cohesive Mobile Platform software build, packaging, dependency management and deployment strategy uniting the efforts of the Mobile Platform engineering teams with the respective service engineering teams.

• Drive project to successful delivery by ensuring its scope is well defined, and resource estimation and task scheduling are completed and appropriate.

• Work with the project team to identify and manage external dependencies, ensure they are understood and resolved timely and appropriately.

Job Qualification
• 5 years of IT industry experience including 2-3 years in Project and/or Program Management.
• Strong understanding of both SDLC and Agile development (such as Scrum, XP) methodologies.
• Proven track record of bringing in large software projects on time, in budget and with quality.
• Experience in managing projects in an Internet environment and Mobile space a plus.
• Experience in Requirements Management, Customer handling (setting expectations, relationship management, negotiating on issues), Planning, Estimation and Risk Management, Impact Analysis
• Ability to manage ambiguity & lack of clarity (in requirements, scope etc.)
