Key Responsibilities
§ Help to define the innovations and new user experience of Yahoo! Search and search products. Breakdown complicated ideas into simple principles. Tie technology to user needs and company strategy. Help to deliver world-class quality products
§ Work closely with the engineering teams and designers. Utilize data and broad business knowledge and to use these insights to determine what is important.
§ Collaborate with multi-functional/multi-regional teams to elicit, understand, rationalize and prioritize requests for new functionality.
§ Explore new business and product opportunities.
Minimum Requirements
§ Experience of defining product concepts and convert concepts into detailed product designs
§ Proven ability to work with cross-functional groups and drive product lifecycle
§ Strong customer orientation and ability to build rapport
§ Great ability in identifying customer needs and align these needs with technology
§ 5+ years experience in building global products
§ 3+ years product management experiences in Internet industry, especially search technology

Beijing APPS team owns the end-to-end engineering responsibilities for Yahoo Messenger Client and Mobile Synchronization and now is expanding its engineering responsibilities to next generation communication and social apps across desktop computer and mobile devices. We are looking for experienced and passionate Project Managers to join Yahoo! APPS team. In this position, you will be driving the delivery of multiple projects and work with cross-functional groups including project management group in Head-quarter, APPS product management, and APPS engineering teams across geo-locations. Specifically you will be responsible for:
• Successfully managing the correct project scope and driving the projects with high quality on schedule within budget.
• Identifying and managing the internal and external dependencies/issues and working on the resolutions of these issues with the teams across the organizational boundary.
• Forseeing&managing the risks during the cause of the project execution and communicating them to all the stakeholders; Working with them to mitigate the risks in a timely manner.
• Managing the expectations of the stakeholders in terms of project scope, schedule and resources during project planning, implementation and release phases.

You will be expected to work with whoever is deemed necessary to ensure project success. You will also be an advocate and champion of repeatable processes (e.g. software development, project management). And you will be expected to work as an evangelist to promote internally/externally the products/projects that we work on.
Job Qualification
• 5+ years of IT industry experience including 3+ years in Project and/or Program Management.
• Strong understanding on both SDLC and Agile development (such as Scrum, XP) methodologies.
• Proven track record of bringing in large software projects on time, in budget and with quality.
• Experience in managing projects in an Internet environment and Mobile space a plus.
• Experience in Requirements Management, Customer handling (setting expectations, relationship management, negotiating on issues), Project Planning, Effort Estimation and Risk Management, Impact Analysis, etc..
• Ability to manage ambiguity in requirements, scope etc..
• Ability to work in a matrix environment, collaborate with multi-site cross-functional teams across multiple time-zones.
• Excellent communication skills in English

Yahoo! Global R&D Center in Beijing is fully owned and operated by United States based Yahoo! Inc. We are seeking a number of Senior QA Engineers to help testing the next generation search and advertising products. The individual will have the opportunity to work with the world-class scientists in United State, China, and other locations, focusing on projects that have global influence.
The Senior QA Engineer will contribute to the design and implementation of test strategy and test cases. Also, the candidate will execute and account for results of the tests. This includes executing and validation by using and creating test tools, scripts for complex, multi-tier system software. You should possess skills in testing and implementation of tests on C++ / PERL/SHELL written components as well as you must have experience in testing API based web applications. The candidate should have a proven history and dedication to SQA processes, particularly Agile / Scrum, testing and implementation. This is NOT a GUI software project and must be able to code test cases using C++ and PERL/SHELL.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement test automation framework.
- Work with development engineers to create home-grown scripts to facilitate ad-hoc testing
- Design and implement test strategy and test cases.
- Execute tests using automation framework and validate test results to ensure the product meeting product requirements.
- Conduct White Box and Grey Box testing.
- Submit, regress, and verify defects
Minimum Requirements
- 4-5 years experience in Software QA with focus on testing backend server and web applications/ system bases components. No UI or GUI testing.
- 2-3 years of implementing test cases using C++ and PERL/SHELL.
- Hands-on experience with white box and grey box testing, automation testing, and script languages such as Perl/Shell/C++.
- Strong UNIX/LINUX command-line troubleshooting background
- Proficient Test Planning and test case writing and designing.
- Strong written and verbal skills in Chinese and English are required for this position.
Preferred Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Master preferred.
- Experience working with remote development staff and QA teams
- Experience with or knowledge of any QA tools (including: web monitoring, code coverage, memory tools, 3rd party integration)
