MeeGo TV Senior Program Manager

MeeGo TV is a critical project for Company to create and leverage the momentum of the open source MeeGo operation system for TV platform, and to promote Company SOC (System on Chip) into the connected TV market. The MeeGo TV program manager is to drive the MeeGo TV project covering requirement definition, project planning, engineering execution, etc. The role & responsibility of the PM include but not limit to:
- Plan/manage the whole program to meet challenging objectives or goals.
- Provide leadership for the project team and key interfaces to the project or program.
- Coordinate smooth cross group and cross geo collaboration, regular travel to multiple countries are required.
- Drive the planning of engineering tasks and resource allocation, communicate clear expectation to and seek commitment from project teams, determine and resolve inter-dependencies, identify/assess risk and work out mitigation plan.
- Monitor progress against schedule. Communicate project information to key stakeholders. Provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
Qualifications
The PM should possess five or more years of program management or equivalent work experience. Additional qualifications include:
- Excellent program/project management skills, in terms of project initiating, planning, execution and controlling, etc.
- Excellent communication skills in both Mandarin and English, strong personal networking capability.
- Solid working experience in MNC, strong stakeholder management skills.
- Be able to operate well in a fast paced dynamic environment, be able to handle well project challenges and conflicts.
- Solid experience in Linux system level project or connected TV software project are highly desired.
- Experience of open source project development will be a plus, and experience of interacting with the Linux community would be an added advantage. |
