X-Windows问题，请教

公司有四台HP主机，在同一网段，打了同样的patch，配置也差不多，我在pc上用exceed连接，有三台没问题，但有一台报如下错误：

##    The desktop messaging system could not be started.

##    1.Choose [OK] to return to the login screen
##    2.Select Failsafe Session from the login screen's option   menu  and log in.
##    3.Check to see that the desktop is properly installed, the hostname is correct(/etc/hosts) and that the network is properly configured.

我查过了几台机器的相关配置都差不多，也检查了hosts文件，没有问题，
请哪位达人点拨一下。

另外，那个什么“Failsafe Session ”是什么？我在exceed里面好像没找到相关的选项呀

感觉还是和机器的名字有关
/etc/hosts
/etc/rc.config.d/netconf
uname
hostname

pls run #nslookup hostname  #nslookup  ipaddress to test your
server.
or restart your inetd .
run #/sbin/init.d/dtlogin.rc

anfield 兄，我检查了hosts文件和netconf文件，都没有什么问题

matrixch 兄，我试着用nslookup命令验证了一下，也没什么问题

感觉不象是和hostname有关

我碰到过一次是因为/tmp文件夹的属性被错误改为不可写，所以进不了图形界面！
楼主的情况我还没碰到过
