CENTOS下小键盘问题

请教，在CENTOS 5.3下，键盘的数字键有时候会失灵，无法输入。NUMLOCK打开了。
在RHEL官网上找到说是系统的BUG
原文如下：
Updated xorg-x11-drv-keyboard packages that fix a bug are now available.

The xorg-x11-drv-keyboard packages contain the X.Org X11 keyboard input
driver.

The keyboard LED status lights for capslock and numlock are not consistent
when switching between X and a Virtual Terminal (VT). For example, enabling
capslock in X and then switching to a VT, then back to X, caused the
keyboard LED to display that capslock is off, even when it is on. The
keyboard LED status lights are consistent when switching between X and
Virtual Terminals in these updated packages.

All xorg-x11-drv-keyboard users are advised to upgrade to these updated
packages, which resolve this issue.

我将RPM 包解压后，后面就再也找不到安装步骤了，所以无法继续下去验证是否更新后的效果了

rpm包解压？ 不直接安装？ rpm -Uvh

我已经 rpm -ivh xorg-x11-drv-keyboard-1.1.0-3.i386.rpm 了。但是依旧没用，Uvh 只是更新啊。ivh是安装。试过 没用 依旧无法使用
