Today, I can't share my file btw VMware and Windows via Samba. I reviewed the smb.conf didn't find any wrong. but it doesn't work.
first try telnet port 139 failed. disable the firewall by 'service firewall stop'
it still can't work and even the directory has 777 mode but samba log still shows:
'/root/samba_share' does not exist or permission denied when connecting to [public] Error was Permission denied
I reflect that SELINUX may do something, disable it just work fine.

Disable selinux
