安装snmp遇到的问题

系统:[root@xs60 ~]# uname -a
Linux xs60 2.6.11-8.QLsmp #1 SMP Thu Apr 14 01:12:08 CST 2005 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

安装的snmp: [root@xs60 ~]# rpm -qa | grep net-snmp
net-snmp-5.0.6-17 安装过程中要依赖 librpm-4.2.so ,librpmdb-4.2.so ,librpmio-4.2.so,我把3个文件全下下来放在usr目录下还是不行,于是就用--nodeps强行安装了,也生成了snmpd.conf文件

就是结果不能重起:[root@xs60 ~]# service  snmpd  restart
Stopping snmpd: [FAILED]
Starting snmpd: /usr/sbin/snmpd: error while loading shared libraries: librpm-4.2.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
[FAILED]

这个怎么解决啊?

来人指点下啊,谢谢了.尝试了好多版本的net-snmp都需要很多的依赖,怎么选择?

rpm-4.2-1.i386.rpm 找到这个东西装上去试试

这些东西在安装光盘里全有的.你慢慢找,总会装上的.

1.yum安装是正解，如果你yum都没有的话，就别装rpm包了
2.snmp我是通过tar包装的，机房的机器用光盘装不现实。

我下载的是net-snmp-5.2.1.tar.gz，解压后开始编译：
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/snmp
在这个configure过程中它会问你信箱和系统信息，直接回车.回车，回车。。。即可！
然后
make &&
make install 完成安装。

运行 /usr/local/snmp5/sbin/snmpd 启动snmp

初学linux,不知道这该怎么办,远程在机房装,也没有光盘,所以在网上不知道该选哪个系统的软件包,这该从哪做起?

本人安装linux 觉得最重要是要安装开发工具包，英文名：development tool
这个工具包是内有GCC，这个是 安装tar包的基础。
一般我装机肯定加上这个包，其他包不装都没有关系。
