apache 启动问题

使用:  /usr/local/apahce/bin/apachectl start 启动apache2.2.4   
执行命令后，apache并没有启动。日志为：

哪位大哥帮忙看看。我觉得是内存或者虚拟内存的问题。但不知道如何解决

Apache is exiting好像是说apache已经启动..我也是刚学apache,下面是官方长手册.

exiting是退出的意思，
Cannot allocate memory,无法分配内存空间？
unable to create worker thread无法创建工作线程？
说说你的内核，是不是经过自己编译过的？
还有你是怎样安装apache的

apache2.2.4 是编译安装的。
操作系统是        redhat-as4 虚拟出来的VPS
