emergency_rec option "-o" error ?

I met a serious error when I restore the backup to unixware as described following:
     I found that when I use "emergency_rec -o ctape1" to backup the unixware to tape drive, and then restore it to the hard disk. Although the backup and restore procedure complete successfully, But when I reboot the system after restoring from the backup, I found that it couldn't reach to the stage of the logo of SCO displayed, instead following message  displayed,and then the system halt.

starting unixware
        FATAL BOOT ERROR : can't load stage3
**********************************************
     
     But if I do not use "-o" option to backup unixware system, then everything is ok.
