在30g硬盘上安装win2k和sco unix 5.05的问题

我的硬盘参数为AUTO ,MODE 为 normal

我在30G硬盘上安装win2k和unix系统，是这样做的：
1.用win98启动盘对硬盘分区，给出一个4g的主dos分区(c)，激活，format c:其他步骤一概不做。
2.安装win2k.
3.安装unix,安装方式选择interactive.
   在创建unix分区时选择：创建的分区号为1，startint track 为c区后的磁道数，大小为硬盘宗磁道数的1/10，即3g.
  然后激活该分区。
4.选q退出后，屏幕显示：
   1）print current bad track table
   2)scan disk
   3)add entries to current bad track table by cylinde/head number
   4)add entries to current bad track table by sector number
   5)delete  entries individually from current bad track tabel
   6)delete all entries from current bad track table
   我选q退出，上面的一概没做。
   屏幕显示：
   0 bad tracks have been identified
   enter the mumber of bad tracks to allocate space for (or press<return>; to use the recommended valer of 15):
   我选return

   屏幕显示：
   this device contains a valid disk division table. your additional(non-root) filesystems/divisions can be preserved across the reinstallation. do you want to preserve your additional filesystem/divions?(y/n)     我选Y.

   屏幕显示：
   do you wish to make any mannual adjustments to the sizes or names of the filesystems or swap area before they are created on the hard disk?(y/n)  我选n.

   以下的按默认值安装。

   结果安装完后重启系统显示cvl ovf.

   请高手指教。

unix下可识别的最大柱面数为1024，cvl ovf就是柱面数溢出了。参照看一下以前有关大硬盘安装unix和安装多个系统的贴子吧。

删掉C:分区，先装 sco, 再装 2k.

我这样做过，能正常进入unix,但在进入w2k时显示cvl ovf.

先用工具diskman分区，把前几个G分给SCO，再用剩下的空间划给WIN2K

在以上俺引用的最后一步，俺一直用fdisk-->;user entire for unix，只是第一个分区不大于8.4G，从来没有出过问题。

原始的主板BIOS在启动时寻址IDE设备的最大空间范围是8G,所以所有的引导道分区的起始道都必须在8G以内。
你可以先在起始的8G内分成两个分区，UNIX和WINDOWS。后面的空间再通过UNIX下的diskadd和windows的分区扩展功能加上去。
我是这样做的，可用，不知你可不可以

对了，还要注意你的硬盘是不是实硬盘，有部分IBM的硬盘有压缩技术的，用此种方法是很难装的，这种硬盘你只有通过倒算出实际的参数后再装。
