I can't run vmware-config.pl

I want to use VMware-workstation-3.2.1-2242.tar.gz
After running vmware-install.pl , it started vmware-config.pl , and it had an error

The directory of kernel headers (version 2.4.20) does not match your running

successfully, it would not load into the running kernel.
