[已解决]solaris 8 x86 VirtualBox 安装|换光盘用vmware装好了

证实是我下的光盘有问题，重新下了另外个已经在vmware中装起来用了。


solaris 8 已经End-of-Life phaseII了，但是工作中有些应用只能跑在solaris8，所以找来solaris 8 安装文件打算在vitrulbox上装个。

安装文件:
Solaris8-dsk1&2+CPQ_Driver.zip
里面内容:
SOL_8_IA_1of2.iso
SOL_8_IA_2of2.iso
等


虚拟机启动报"Not a UFS file system"错误，尝试用虚拟光驱软件载入ISO，虚拟机使用虚拟光驱，报“Cannot find boot.bin.”错误



Not a UFS file system (x86 based systems only)
Cause:
When Solaris 10 10/09 software was installed (either through the Solaris installation program or custom JumpStart), no boot disk was selected. You now must edit the BIOS to boot the system.
Solution:
Select the BIOS to boot. See your BIOS documentation for instructions.


搜索了下网上用virtualbox装8好像没成功，vmware可能可以，说需要把光盘设置到RAW模式，我找不到.
virtualbox的BIOS没有的么？启动只能改启动顺序。


开始是光盘问题，后来换了个iso发现virtualbox里死活不能用光标选CD启动，后来用vmware装好了（安装时还不能启用network）。

记得vmware装Solaris 8是可以的，不过那时Vmware是3.x的，后来就没试过

当时sun想强迫solaris用户用自己的硬件，在8时去掉了对x86版本的支持，后来觉得这个做法简直太2了，在9时又恢复了

    没有吧，8的时候有X86的版本，现在我这里还有Solaris 8 x86的服务器呢

oracle收购sun后，有些软件现在不知道哪里去下了，昨天就看到这方案了，找了下oracle现在可能就让下sparc版的solaris10下的8/9container，对我没用

Requirements
The Oracle Solaris 8 Containers software can be installed on a SPARC system running at least
the Oracle Solaris 10 8/07 release.
ContainerVersion Obtaining Required Packages
Solaris 8 Containers 1.0.1 The SUNWs8brandr and SUNWs8brandu packages are installed as part of an
Oracle Solaris 10 installation. The SUNWs8brandk package is only available
from E-Delivery with a signed license agreement.

SUNWs8brandk is only available from Oracle E-Delivery. To obtain the package:
1. Go to Oracle E-Delivery.
2. Click Continue to access export validation.
3. Complete the Export Validation license agreement.
4. Select product: "Oracle Solaris" and platform "Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit),” and click search.
5. Select Oracle Solaris Legacy Containers to download the package.
6. Install the package on your system.

我用virtualbox装好了 10 和 11 express.
用了最新的VMWare Player好像没有前人说的vmware光驱 RAW 模式（话说这个模式是啥？）。

不知道有没有人有装好的虚拟机？我联系方式在签名处就有。

看到solaris 有个jumpstart功能，要配置nfs,tftp,等，我以前就配置过linux的网络安装，客户端用PXE网络启动。

不知道jumpstart是不是这样的？
我配置个服务器环境(已经有solaris10和11的虚拟机了)，然后虚拟机PXE启动，可行么？
