Job Description
•        Be a thought leader in one or more research areas in the Information Sciences
•        Publish research results in international prestigious conferences and scholarly journals
•        Serve professionally on tasks such as conference program committees and journal refereeing
•        Collaborate with university research partners on selected projects
•        Work with colleagues in the EMC Innovation Network (EMC's world-wide organization for core research) to define and shape EMC's corporate research directions and topics
•        Enjoy opportunities to collaborate with world renowned scientists and industry lead architects
•        Pursue opportunities to lead technology transfer to EMC solutions and products
•        Direct other scientists in the fulfillment of these objectives
Qualifications
•        Post-doctoral or equivalent researcher (2+ years research experience) in Computer Science, Math or studies relevant to Information Science
•        Demonstrated research experience and influence in publications in international conferences or scholarly journals
•        Effective problem-defining and problem-solving skills
•        Recognized ability to motivate and inspire other researchers to envision future technology possibilities
•        Strong communication skills in spoken and written form, including English
•        Career orientation toward an academic environment within a commercial organization, combining the best of theory and practice
