Department Overview
Storage and Availability Management Group (SAMG) focuses on providing enterprise and large enterprise customers with storage and server management, data protection, and application performance management solutions across heterogeneous storage and server platforms.  Key products in the Storage and Availability Management Group include Veritas Storage Foundation, Veritas CommandCentral Storage and Veritas Cluster Server product lines. Each of these solutions is available across all major UNIX, Linux and Windows operating systems, enabling IT organizations to reduce cost and complexity through standardization on storage and availability management solutions from Symantec.
Responsibilities
•        Work with little or no supervision in development of scalable system and stress test  for SFHA product lines.
•        Analyze the customer usage pattern and create comprehensive stack test to match the real customer environment.
•        Analyze and triage customer issues in user commands as well Unix kernel module.
•        Communicate with SAMG’s global cross-functional teams on APRIL process and progress.
•        Is looked upon to architect a comprehensive autotest environment with VERITAS storage software and Application software such as Oracle, TIBCO and SAP
Qualifications
•        2-4 year's experience of storage h/w s/w configuration/installation on UNIX systems
•        Solid skill of UNIX or UNIX-LIKE OS ( fundamentals understanding, hands-on experience and digested theories  )
•        Be familiar with one of scripting languages ( PERL/SHELL/PYTHON etc. )
•        Understanding database fundamentals ( install/configuration/plan and deployment )
•        Knowledge of high availability environment
•        Enterprise software install/configure/deploy experience
•        Positive attitude, good self-motivation
•        Good read/write English skills, fluent oral English is definitely a huge plus
•        Willing of communication with other team members
•        Willing to learn and fast learning ability
