Primary Skill (Technical Skill)
Experienced Unix Administration skill for Red Hat Linux (RHEL4/5/6).
Build (kickstart, pkg/patch installation, volume management, etc…), Configuration, Test, Documentation of Linux servers for variety of project. SAN, KDC/LDAP, security software knowledge preferable.
Secondary Skill (optional)
Solaris/AIX or VMware experience, scripting
Educational Qualifications
BE / BS comp science/Diploma
Experience Level
Overall up to 5 + Years
Relevant 3 to 5 + Years
Role & Responsibilities
• Hardware preparation and OS installation from kickstart environment
• Set up accounts on directory services
• Network configuration and security software setup
• Software installation and configuration
• Create volumes from storage via fiber channel
• Troubleshoot issues on RHEL4/5 environment
• Kickstart server & yum repository management
• Testing in QA process and handover the system to operation
• Document design & build project documents
• Communicate with variety of teams including vendors
• Follow numbers of Citi standards and processes for project implementation
• Instruction giving to L1 engineers
• Other Unix OS(Solaris/AIX) administration
Skills:
• Red Hat Linux server installation from kickstart server with storage on physical hardware/virtual machine
• Day to day Linux administration which includes Package/Patch management, KDC/LDAP User management, Backup configuration, monitoring setup
• Security software knowledge (PowerBroker, eTrust, SSHtectia, etc…)
• Troubleshoot hands on experience
• Good communication
• documentation of system diagram or process
• knowledge transfer or presentation experience
• willing to learn new things
• Other Unix OS (Solaris/AIX) experience, virtualization experience (VMware/LDom/LPar), scripting skills are plus
