Job Description
STG Lab Services & Training applies deep knowledge and skills of IBM STG’s products to provide technical services to end customers in China and AP region. STG LS&T team complements and enables other service channels, including IBM Global Services and IBM Business Partners. Through these channels, LS&T shares intellectual capital, transfers skills, mentors, and fills the gaps for a comprehensive solution.
The candidates are expected to work effectively in providing technical services, from pre-sales to post-sales, in the areas of Power virtualization, Server consolidation and IT optimization, Cloud Computing, application porting and platform migration, AIX performance tuning and troubleshooting, etc. Daily work scope includes technical consultation, solution design and verification, onsite implementation, customer training and skills transfer.
1. UNIX C/C++ Developers
Required Skills
5+ years of experience in C/C++/J2EE development on UNIX platform (AIX/Linux/Solaris/HP-UX)
3+ years working experience as software developer (not tester) in big R&D organizations. Familiar with development & test tools, processes and methodology.
Development and deployment experiences with common middleware (WAS, Weblogic, Tuxedo, JBOSS, Tomcat, etc) is a plus. SQL programming with common database (Oracle, DB2, Sybase) is a plus.
MA or MS in Computer Science or related major.
2. Power Virtualization Expert
Required Skills
Technical skills specializing in IBM Power servers and technologies (i.e, Power server provisioning and implementation, AIX, NIM, PowerVM, PowerHA, IBM Systems Director, VMControl, etc).
3+ years of experience in sys admin or development on AIX platform.
Experiences in system integration services, especially using IBM Power and storage products, is a plus.
MA or MS in Computer Science or related major.
3. Cloud Computing Specialist
Knowledgable on Cloud Computing industry status and common solutions, understand the technical internals.
Knowledge in IBM Tivoli products (TSAM, TPM, TUAM, Tivoli Monitoring).
Hands-on experiences with enterprise virtualization technology including VMWare/KVM/Zen on x86, and IBM PowerVM on Power.
Previous experience in solution design is a plus.
MA or MS in Computer Science or related major.
