Role Summary:
The Tool Engineer provides engineering services to PG Firmware DVT group for modification and maintenance of the Scenario Definition Language tool – SceDL used by Firmware DVT engineers to create test assets.

Responsibility:
-Maintains the SceDL tool.
-Working with PG Firmware DVT members to define, implement and validate the SceDL tool as needed
-Provides corrective action on tool SCRs
-Reports status and issues in a timely manner

Required Skills:
-At least 5 years of industry experience preferably with exposure to regulated/process driven software development/testing
-BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
-Proficient in Lisp language or one of its dialects, such as Scheme
-General knowledge about testing infrastructure, testing methodology, testing of real-time and embedded systems, testing process, etc.
-Good problem solving capability
-Ability to describe technical issues thoroughly; verbally and in writing
-Attention to detail
-Ability to communicate on a technical level; proficient in English
-Ability to learn new software tools used in the testing and analysis process

Desired Skills:
-Previous Model Based test asset development experience
-Knowledge in cardiac domain
-Knowledge of XML
-Testing Certification (CSTE/ASTQB/ASQ)
-Experience in working with global/geographically distributed teams
