Description:
• Understand and analyze customer LTE test requirement/specifications and make detailed test plan together with the customer under the guidance of ALU test TPM
• Make E2E network architecture and radio design in order to set up specific test environment
• Install HW/SW and set up E2E test environment or supervise/support the test environment setup
• Perform requested lab and field tests according to the test plan and manage to achieve expected E2E test result/performance
• Monitor network stability and performance for field trial network, tune wireless protocol and products’ parameters to meet E2E KPI requirement;
• Report and debug product and test issues with other team members under the support of local and global R&D teams;
• Make test result post processing, test result analysis under the guidance of ALU TPM and with support of local and global R&D teams
• Make professional internal/external documentation as final test output both in Chinese and English
• Facing telecom operators directly to understand customer’s request, answer questions, discuss test plan and test issues, defend ALU product reputation
• Train lower level engineers and Customer Delivery teams to perform LTE network design, lab and field test and optimize LTE network performance, make necessary knowledge transfer, supervise and support the network design, test execution and network optimization
• Support or participate in APAC area trial/FOA activities together with other global teams
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of 3GPP protocols, especially LTE protocols like S1, X2, NAS, RRC, RLC, MAC, PDCP;
Familiar with Unix/Linux operation and scripting, like Perl/Shell/TCL;
Strong communication skill both in Chinese and English, esp. excellent English conversational and communication skills for efficient conference and offline information exchange with APAC customers and ALU global teams
Strong E2E analytical and troubleshooting skills
3G/LTE Call Processing knowledge and LTE eNodeB architecture and software knowledge preferred
At least 5 year experience with 2G/3G/LTE lab or field test or network optimization, LTE test and optimization skills preferred
Test and optimization technical leader experience preferred
International work experience preferred
BS or MS in Computer Science or Telecommunication Engineering and/or Equivalent Work Experience
Be able to work overtime and on weekend/holidays if needed
