Responsibilities  
- Develop, maintain and enhance existing VERITAS Unix Volume Manager product.
- Participate in problem solving, developing code fixes, and providing timely resolution to customer reported problems in various areas of the VERITAS Volume Manager product.
-  Interface closely with global technical support, core engineering development teams, and QA teams with the primary intent of making the product more supportable and deliver high quality solutions.

Qualifications  
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree.
- At least 2 years of experience in working in the Unix/Linux kernel and system software domain.
- Very good understanding of operating system internals and device drivers is a must.
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux shell and C Programming is a must.
- Proficiency in application and kernel level debugging is desired.
- Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills are required.
- Prior experience in STORAGE Domain(RAID, Fiber Channel, Volume Management) is preferable.
- Knowledge of multiple Unix/Linux platforms - Solaris, AIX, Linux, HP-UX would be a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
- Candidate must be capable of solving complex problems, be self-directed and be able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment emphasizing team work.
