NT 4.0有关域的问题.急!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

系统环境为NT 4.0 server+Exchange 5.5,都是英文版.有一个PDC,一个BDC共两台服务器.
现在想加一台新的服务器,同时想把系统都升级到Win2000 Server.
请问该怎么做,希望版主,大侠指教!!!

另外,我想把做过Raid-5的硬盘的C区放大?有没有比较好的软件?介绍介绍.谢谢.

It\'s in PDC or BDC? I don\'t think you will install Exchange 5.5 in PDC, so you can do the following things:

1. Clone your harddrive of PDC and keep it in case when you fail to upgrade you can use the cloned harddrive to switch back

2. Do you have DNS? Does it support Active Directory? If not, you must install a DNS server and you also must use a fully qualified DNS name like YourServer.YourCompany.com. Once you use it in Active Directory, you can never delete/change it unless you uninstall the Active Directory completely

3. Upgrade PDC from winnt 4 to win2k. After the OS is upgraded successfully, the DCPROMO command will run automatically to upgrade domain to Active Directory

新的问题： Exchange5.5在BDC,PDc都安装过了，如何让这两台机器的Exchange做同步？？？

Do you want to upgrade exchagne 5.5 to 2000? Although Exchange 5.5 can work with win2000, it is not a standard usage.So usually you should upgrade both windows and Exchange.

I suggest you move Exchange server from PDC to another computer before you upgrade. Then you can upgrade PDC to windows 2000. This is the safest way. After the network is stable again, you can then decide what to do next.

What\'s the relationship of the two Exchange server? They are holding the same domain?

Are the two servers in same Exchange  site and same organization ?
If they are in same site, they replicate automatically (Directory and Public Folder).  If the they are in two separate sites you need to add a site connector and then a direcotry replication connector.  If they are in two different Organization, it is very difficult to replicate. But any way, don\'t expect they will synchronize all mailbox message.  Exchange 5.5 doesn\'t have this function unless you use cluster servers or third part software.
