Sun Blade 1000, can\'t boot from Solaris 10 from DVD/CDROM nor from disk

try another DVD first, it most likely to be a media failure caused.\r\nif no effect, contact SUN 800 for DVD-ROM replacing .

Thank you all for the response!\r\n\r\nThe DVD/CD is no issue, I tried with another one  and got the same error.  I had Solaris 10 11/06 before and tried to upgrade to 05/09.  The DVD worked with first run but quit in half way.  When I tried the second time I got the can\'t open boot device error, and again with another same model DVD.  I wonder if some can give me a physical path of the boot file on the DVD so that I can set up the alias at OBP.\r\n\r\nI remember during the installation, it prompted me the eeprom change for boot slice and I set it to c1t1d0s0.  I wonder if this changed the default  boot device/file path?  It has been very long time since  the last  OBP config change, I just could not remember the proper way of manually config boot device/file  in OBP. \r\n\r\nAlso, if put DVD aside, how should I proceed with the system maintenance mode when it head to these message:\r\n-sh: /bin/i386: not found\r\n-sh: /usr/sbin/quota: not found\r\n-sh: /bin/cat: not found\r\n-sh: /bin/mail: not found\r\n# ls\r\nls: not found\r\n# mount\r\nmount: not found\r\n# svcs -x\r\nsvcs: not found\r\n#

no one got more ideas?  There must be more than one way to solve the problem, .  I will be back!
