redhat 7.2的用户口令加密方式

有谁知道redhat7.2的用户口令加密方式，我用的是crypt函数，加密方式是\r\ncrypt(\"password\",\"$1$\";\r\n\r\n用gcc -o test test.c -lcrypt编译\r\n\r\n但得到的口令结果和shadow文件中的不一样，有谁知道该如何加密才能得到与shadow文件中一致的结果，请指点迷津。\r\n

not sure.  vaguelly remember redhat allows MD5, so up to 128 characters, as opposed to the normal 8 chars. if you just want to do it one time, set up a dummy user, and passwd to change.  if you want to do it in a function, you need to look around.  i am sure there is a way if you look hard enough.
