Job Title: Sr. Software Engineer - Cloud
Description:
You will be a part of a team helping shape the long term company initiatives of moving to the cloud to secure Cisco’s leadership. You will work on dynamic projects that cover lots of new products and technologies, but majorly focus on architecting and developing cloud- and web-based enterprise system that is very critical in Cisco’s transition from product solution provider to cloud based solution provider.

Responsibilities
-Design and architect large-scale distributed web/cloud services to meet complex business requirements.
-Investigate and prototype for cutting-edge technologies, and provide technical inputs to the product management team for making decisions.

Requirements:
-MS or PH.D. Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
-Deep understanding and hand-on experience on object-oriented design philosophy and service-oriented architecture.
-6+ years’ experience in designing and architecting large-scale distributed web/cloud services with high performance, availability and scalability. Success stories are preferred.
-Solid knowledge in J2EE ecosystems; extensive knowledge of Unix/Linux; deep understanding of mainstream web frameworks, web servers, cloud platforms (amazon, linode, etc), big data and large scale computing and technologies in distributed systems (indexing, caching, messaging, task scheduling, data consistency, storage hierarchy, performance tuning etc.); able to provide far-sighted technical solutions for addressing complex business needs.
-Experienced in Spring, Hibernate, NoSQL DBs (Mongo, Couch, Casandra, etc) enterprise-level web servers, Web framework, and build/integration and configuration (Chef, Puppet, etc) tool
-Passion in learning new and cutting-edge technologies around web, cloud and mobile computing, acute insights to their fitness for adoption, and strong leadership with technical expertise.
-Comfortable with abstractly defined high-level requirements.
-Very good spoken and written English.
-Excellent communication skills and team work in global team, being available for meetings outside of normal work hours.
-Hands on experience with development and deployment with following tools would be a good plus: Openstack, Cloudstack, virtualization, Mongo DB, Chef , Lucene, Elastic Search, ActiveMQ, NGinx, MemCached ,J2EE, .Net, Xocde/iOS
-More than 3-5 year work experience in Internet Company would be a plus.
-Experience with mobile development (specifically mobile apps talking to cloud service back-ends) would be a plus.
