Job description
IBM Analytic Answers removes barriers to the adoption of analytics and helps minimize time to value by leveraging IBM's deep analytics expertise and leading analytics platform to create a solution tailored to customer's business, using their data. Multiple types of answers address a variety of business objectives across a number of industries, such as insurance renewals, retail purchase analysis and offer targeting, student retention, and prioritized debt collection.
Typical barriers to analytics adoption include the high cost of software licensing and hosting infrastructure, heavy reliance on external experts, and long implementation times. With an Analytic Answers subscription, customers are insulated from these challenges, needing only to upload data to a simple web-based user interface and then download the results or "answers." Customers can get up and running quickly and enjoy fast time to value: no need to be a statistician, learn analytics software, or undergo any disruptive technology infrastructure implementations.
Job Responsibilities
The team will work with WW stakeholders to analyse the business requirements and design, develop components and the solution by leveraging multiple IBM middleware products and/or third parties products, and drive innovation during the full lifecycle of development. Responsible for the design, coding, unit testing, defect fix, etc. Responsible for the support for WW customer cases.
We are looking for solution architect, data miners and component developers who could understand business and technical requirements for product accurately, develop the analytic models as well as software components, conduct testing on it and deliver the offering with assured quality. The candidate should have good business sense, extensive technical skills and strong ownership sense, which may include but not limited with:
- Understand product requirements
Communicate with WW product team to obtain both business and technical insights of product requirements
Provide reasonable advice from customers' perspective to improve or initiate product requirements
- Design and develop components
Co-work with architect/technical lead to design and develop analytic models / software components
- Execution and problem resolution
Take full ownership of developing and testing the components
- Delivery of product and assets
Provide the components as product with high quality
Job Requirements (skills/experiences)
1) Strong client-interaction skills, including capturing requirements, documenting problems, clearly communicating results in both written and oral presentations, demonstrating predictive analytics and BI solutions to prospective clients.
2) Familiar with IBM predictive analytics technology in combination with industry standard statistical techniques to develop forecasts, create predictive models, and perform data mining.
3) Expertise in multivariate regression, time series models, cluster analysis, logistic regression, factor analysis and neural network models,etc.
4) Bachelors or Master’s degree (preferred) with emphasis in the following areas (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or Econometrics), 5 years’work experience required, 3 years in tech leader role.
5) Creative thinking and passion for technologies, ability and comfort working independently and making key decisions on projects.
6) Fluent English speaking, listening and writing.

Customers workloads grow and infrastructure teams are continually looking to consolidate existing workloads on to the platform. Cognos and SPSS tools are being used to provide customers with innovative solutions to manage the growth of the IT infrastructure and leverage predictive analytics.
