Major Accountabilities
• Conduct assessments of processes and data to detail requirements.
• Interview business partners, organize and run requirements sessions with groups of users.
• Analyze and model relevant business processes, rules and data relationships. Document “as is” process.
• Lead the project team in designing a “to be” process. Demonstrate the impact of procedures and their effect on the organization. Critically review and recommend changes to processes in part or in their entirety.
• Capture a common vocabulary. Develop use cases.
• Determine data flows and sources, identify data conversion or migration needed to support goals and uses in a process.
• Lead authoring of the user requirements document.
• Ensure the business aligns processes (SOPs) with the system functionality requested.
• Collaborate with Application Architect and business lead to investigate and define solutions that deliver business value.
• Work with the application architect to document a proposed project approach. Define and assess the application landscape. Outline feasibility analysis or studies.
• As needed, support software package evaluation. Collaborate with application / solution architect to identify potential packages and vendors to review with the team, define selection criteria, lead authoring of an RFP (request for proposal), review prototypes.
• Contribute to the creation of the functional specifications, design specifications, and consult on conceptual design reviews.
• Provide strong contribution to the business lead as they prepare for implementation of new systems and introduce or drive change in an organization.
• For new systems, help define goals and objectives of service level agreements (SLAs), including performance expectations.
• Contribute to outlining performance qualification testing and validation plans.
• Guide the business on creating key messages to be used in change management plans and training material content.
• Collaborate to define deployment and business value metrics that can be used to indicate successful roll out and use of new technology.
• Work with Managers to raise new project proposals and mandates. Support definition of the business case.
• Collaborate with Manager and business lead to determine scope, goals and objectives
• Guide the business lead to definite business value and associated metrics
• Quantify risks and return on investment.
• Effectively contribute with the Global team to plan, estimate and Support the Quality IT implementation project.
• As 1st and partly 2nd level support, handle service requests and perform application administration for assigned applications, mainly used in laboratory and scientific activities. Major support domain include MACH Chromeleon, ChemStation, LEAD IT environment (server, client, printers, bigfix), and all other lab/scientific applications.
• Ensure responsible systems, including all relevant HW/SW components, are compliant with CSV, GxP, information security and other applicable rules during their operational life.
• Record, tracks, troubleshoot, resolve, feedback application related issues in timely manner. Escalate issues to global next-level support organizations or software suppliers if necessary.
• Ensure close collaboration with business and IT stakeholders, e.g. system owners, IT/application managers, key users, global competence centers, global IT infrastructure, IT helpdesk and external IT suppliers in order to optimize user support and system operation.
• Support test, validation, installation and rollout activities for assigned applications areas. Participate in global/local projects in assigned support domains.
• Design, develop and provide user training sessions for supported applications, including writing and maintaining training manuals.
• May manage small to mid-sized projects.

Ideal Background
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the field of Computer science or relevant discipline is required.
Experience:
• 4 - 5 years experience in IT application/Lab support and/or development. Ideally in chemical or pharmaceutical industries.
• Initiative ( Proactively develop and act on ideas and solutions that benefit company)
• Basic knowledge of computer system validation (CSV) or GxP, and information security.
• Basic understanding of business processes in one or more relevant areas such as QA/QC desirable.
• Basic understanding of best practices in IT service support (ITIL).
• Good English and Chinese skills (spoken and written)
• Good communication and presentation skills.
