求一个apache从一级目录自动rewrite到二级目录的写法

我是个野鸭子

如果用户默认访问：
http://www.abc.com
然后apache将其自动跳转到：
http://www.abc.com/efg/

怎么写这个rewrite?

不要rewrite这么麻烦吧，直接在 根下的index.htm 里面写上一句自动转向的html代码就解决啦。

index.htm is a static page... it could not support redirect...
index.php/pl.. it's a CGI script... it need to have a interpret process...  it should be avoid at some big concurrent web site...  (also, it need to config CGI script plug-in...)

rewrite is an internal function at Apache... it's the best preference for my requirement...
