EMC's Emerging Technology Products Division (ETPD) is developing new products with cutting-edge technologies including big-data related offerings (such as the Data Compute Appliance which ships with Pivotal Software), VSPEX (a converged infrastructure reference architecture program) and other emerging converged infrastructure products. ETPD also focuses on all-Flash scale-out enterprise storage arrays (through XtremIO) as well as all-Flash server-side storage hardware (through XtremeSF PCIe cards).

Principal solution engineer is to lead initiatives to architect, build, validate and document industry-leading solutions around ETPD product portfolio, for EMC field sales, partners and customers. Principal Solutions Engineer also advocates EMC’s Solutions through partner and customer technical roundtable briefings, global event support, social media and via knowledge transfer sessions in the form of webcasts.
What do we need from you?
? Generate Best Practice based on the collaborative work with other engineering teams within and/or outside of ETPD. Turn the BP into product/service requirements and being an active member of the ETPD engineering team to make sure those BPs gets implemented as part of the product/service offering
? The “glue” among many cross-functional teams, e.g. contract manufactory, distribution channels, development engineering, service offering, solution engineering, documentation, etc.

What does Principal Hardware Engineer do?
Performs design and development engineering assignments related to hardware products and systems including development of new products or updates to existing products.
Work may encompass one or more areas of engineering including signal integrity, power integrity, PCB design, or other related fields.
This position requires close interaction with regional Engineering design teams from companies EMC has partnered with for new design projects.
The engineer is expected to co-work, manage and drive design partners to ensure signal quality of electronic designs. Work also requires close interaction with US counterparts.
