To support our Quality Assurance team we are looking for a QA Engineer for Software Maintenance. In this role you are responsible for testing software updates on a number of different hardware architectures and products. You will work with the developers on designing, executing and reviewing test cases and test environments and support automation where possible. You will be exposed to latest technologies in systems management, virtualization and storage concepts.
Responsibilities:
• testing software patches/updates on supported hardware architectures and products
• maintenance of reference test systems
• design, develop and maintain both automated and manual tests
• related documentation tasks
Candidate Profile:
• More than two years of work experience in the area of linux quality assurance/testing
• good knowledge of the Linux operating system (experience in Linux system administration and system programming is desirable)
• programming skills in common scripting languages (preferrably Ruby, Python or Bash)
• good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
• involvement in Open Source projects is a plus
• self-dependent but customer-driven working style
• precision and accuracy
• team player
