Role\'s Mission:

ChinaNetCloud, China’s largest Linux server operations company is seeking a Linux Engineer. You will be
working with an international expert-team of engineers and project managers, which will not only help you
improve your technical skills, but also your English/Mandarin, thinking outside of the box and developing a

In this role you will:

- Provide outstanding professional service to our customers
- Install, build, and manage Linux servers
- Install and manage load balancers, web servers, database systems and more
- Manage, backup and troubleshoot all types of Internet systems
- Become an expert in all areas of large-scale Internet operations
- Make improvements to our systems
- Tune and troubleshoot Database servers (MySQL Replication / troubleshooting);
- Setup and tune Cisco switches and firewalls
- Write good scripts (shell, python, perl, etc.) for monitoring, backup and routine automation work
- Create and update accurate system documentation
- Develop good quality training materials and provide training to the team members

- Provide proactive improvements to our systems
- Design and deploy Linux high-availability including HA, LB
- Architect complex network designs and solve technical problems

Job Requirements

Must Have’s:

- Knowledge of the Linux operating system and Linux tools (top/iostat/vmstat/sar, etc.),
- Familiar with tuning Web service (apache / Lighttpd / Nginx ) + (PHP/Ruby-passenger),
- Familiar with other web technologies and tools, such as Cisco, Huawei, F5, Subversion, csv & git,
- Excellent problem solving skills with a desire to learn and take on responsibility,
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure within a reasonable time frame
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with end-users, peers,
and management.
- Working extra hours if the duty requires it
- Willing to be available and On-Call to provide critical support to our 24x7 team
