急!Select error: There is not enough procedure cache to run

我的内存是256M,原先的number of locks的值是40000改成6000之后
在对数据库进行大量操作时出现:Select error: There is not enough procedure cache to run this procedure, trigger, or SQL batch. Retry later, or ask your SA to reconfigure SQL Server with more procedure cache.
请问这是怎么回事呀!!!

sp_configure 'procedure cache',40

即将你的存储过程缓存百分比 设置为 接近 total memory 的 40%

你可以也需要将 total memory (分给Sybase使用的内存总数)调整大一些。
