Storage/ Technical Marketing Engineer
Position is responsible for technical marketing activities for the Company
White Box Server Storage product lines. Responsibilities include: Debug
and customer support, performance & competitive analysis, training
materials, localization and maintenance of product documentation, data
sheets, white papers. Will work closely with customers, suppliers and
engineering teams as well as factory and field sales teams to close
design wins. The position will require travel and customer interactions
including demonstrations and training events. The successful candidate
should have a strong software background and demonstrated knowledge of
SAN Storage platforms, working knowledge of current mid-level storage
solutions, specifically storage protocols such as Fibre Channel and
iSCSI as well as RAID. The successful candidate must possess excellent
verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin and
experience directly supporting strategic customers . Must have
experience in supporting storage systems/environments. A minimum of 5-7
years of applicable experience and MS EE/CSE preferred. This position is

Job Description:
The position is for a Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) with the
Enterprise Platforms & Services Marketing support Telco Servers. The
position will focus on the technical support of the hardware, software,
firmware and utilities for Company developed telecom server boards and
platforms. Responsibilities include:1) Resolving server platform
software configuration issues in a telecom environment with supported
OSs such as Linux, SuSE, and Microsoft OSs, 2)Drive IA server BIOS,
firmware and utility solutions to customer issues 3) Assure resolution
to difficult server/telecom technical Tier-1 customer problems with
added server peripherals, memory, telephony cards, RAID, and other
enterprise validated adapter cards, 4) Be an advocate for the customer
by interfacing with Company hardware and software product development
sustaining teams 5)Developing and presenting technical product training
and enabling materials to Company Resellers, OEMs, Channel OEMs.
7)Interaction with Field Sales, Company Customer Support, and the
worldwide Application Design-in Centers (ADC) to help resolve customer
technical questions. This position is local hire based in Shanghai.
Relocation assistance is available if candidate qualifies for relo
assistance.
Position Requirements/Skills:
This position requires a solid overall understanding of NEBS/ETSI server
hardware, telephony adapters, VoIP, SS7, Dialogic, and LAN/WAN network
operations. The position also requires experience with DOS, Windows
2000/2003, Red Hat Linux, SuSE Linux and Novell OSs. Experience with
Server Management software, the Companyligent Platform Management
Interface (IPMI), Company Server Management Software and LANDesk software
is highly desirable. Candidate must have demonstrated knowledge of
hardware and software engineering documentation and processes in
addition to experience providing server technical support to Tier-1
customers. Candidate must have solid demonstrated written, verbal, and
presentation skills required in the development of technical documents
and presentations to customers. Candidates must be fluent in Mandarin
and English. Applicant must have a MSEE, MSCS, BSEE, or BSCS (or
equivalent) with 5 or more years of experience.
