System Engineer

Location:
Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hongkong

Education
BA/BS in CS/EE required or Equivalent

Experience
5+ years related experience
NetApp product experience preferred

Technology/Business Knowledge
 UNIX system administration and basic networking concepts
 Understanding of computer, routing, and switching technologies
 Demonstrated operating experience on one or more OS (UNIX, LINUX, NT)
 Demonstrated administration experience with database or other business applications, like backup software, etc.
 Understanding storage concept (NAS, SAN, iSCSI, RAID, etc)

Scope of Responsibilities
 Direct account responsibilities in named accounts or specific territories
 Consultative technical sales support in assigned territory and/or accounts
 Provide in depth and high level technical presentations for customers, partners, and peers
 Prepare proposals for assigned opportunities
 To be the focal point for customer evaluations and demos
 Drives technical sale and assists in strategic direction of the account
 Be expected to stay abreast of current industry technology, trends, and competition
 Should be self-motivated, able to work well with multiple sales reps, and be creative in obtaining information and solving problems
 Frequently travel maybe required

Skills Required
 Excellent Chinese and English written and verbal communication skills
 Strong listening and presentation skills
 Ability to work and add value as a team member
 Demonstrated consultative and technical knowledge
 Strong problem solving skills – both technical troubleshooting, as well as customer service issues
 Must be patient in transferring knowledge to inexperienced customers and VARs
