Sun单方面撤回了FreeBSD Java License

The FreeBSD foundation has announced the news of Sun terminating the SCSL OEM-like license given to FreeBSD foundation. The foundation's attempts to contact Sun to renegotiate the license have gone unanswered. Javalobby.org also carries the news." It would seem that Sun has terminated all SCSL licenses across the board in preparation for the release of Java 5, and while the renegotiation process may be a bit bumpy, it's likely that Java will continue to be ported to FreeBSD.

评： 看来sun为了推广Solaris，连前妻生的BSD都扔下了。

不是这么回事。Sun 正重新和各个厂家协商许可协议的问题，FreeBSD 只是其中之一。这次与 FreeBSD 的问题只是沟通不好，而且现在已经解决了。
