Software Engineer ¨C Developer
Responsibilities:
You will be a member of the software development team at BEA, and participate in the architecture, analysis, design and development of new features. Specific duties include:
•        Develop new product features to meet the requirements from customers and other parts of the company.
•        Develop subsystem design and coding - may include design/coding of features, product ports and/or performance benchmarking suites.
•        Document design requirements, solutions, and implementation notes.
•        Adhere with development guidelines, and deliver high quality product features on schedule.
•        Occasional customer interactions/presentations. Typically describing existing functionality and software under current development (well-known contents).Product specifications for smaller initiatives. This would typically consist of functional specifications for new capabilities in existing products.Resolve problems/bugs across related components within a product.Follow and improve software product development processes.
•        Closely work with QA team for product testing & provide feature documentation to technical writer.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: B.S., M.S. or Ph.D in Computer Science
Qualifications:
•        2+ years of software development experience in C/C++
•        Knowledge of the UNIX and/or NT development environments, including Shell programming
•        Understanding of the development process and full lifecycle of software products
•        Experience with Tuxedo, Jolt, WebLogic Server, enterprise client/server programming is desirable
•        Experience with CORBA development is desirable;
•        Good communication skills with the ability to work independently as well as work with a team
•        Good English language skills (CET-6), both spoken and written
•        Software engineering practice. Good at understanding customer requirements, feature design, documentation in English and implementation using C/C++/CORBA/etc. on various platforms especially UNIX.
•        Be very familiar with system difference across platforms, such as operating system, compiler, script and library.
