PhP won't parse !! (OpenBSD3.7) Urgernt help needed!

It is just not work at all for my openbsd box with:
openbsd3.7

apache-1.3.29
php-4.3.11
php-mysql
php-imp
php-pear
php-gd

structure:
   /var/www/--
                     -htdocs                                 755 root:daemon
                                 --php                         755  www:www
                                            --index.php
                     -conf
                                --php.ini
                                --httpd.conf

start httpd with:
apachectl  startssl

I tried all the possible combination, the web browser just won't parse my index.php file at all.  it just show the plain index.php file with a

        "GET /php/index.php HTTP/1.1" 304 -

error

Kind of lost! any input will be appreciate it.
