装postfix， telnet localhost 110不成功

在linux rh9装postfix，我是按照http://blog.china-pub.com/more.asp?name=anstan&id=6529 文档做的。
我安装完imap后，在测试pop3 和imap时出错，
显示为：
#telnet localhost 110
user test@test.com
+ok password required
pass test
-err login failed
quit
+ok bette next time.
我用建立的用户登陆，登陆不上。
请高手指点。谢谢 ！

首先检查110端口是否开放着？
再看一下是否在postfixadmin中建立了你用的那个测试账户，如果建立了，密码也没有错，那么就应该可以了。

可能是maildrop路径不对，后来我又拷贝了一个到需要的路径上，还是不行。我在postfixadmin创建的用户和密码没有错啊。
能创建用户，倒是创建用户目录有点问题，本来正常的是mailbox/domain/user,我的却是/mailbox/domain+user。
那位高手知道，指点一下啊。郁闷啊！谢谢啊！

maildrop 测试没有问题啊。我实在找不到什么错误了。
可能是前面的编译有问题吧，我重新安装系统了！
我在坚持！ 希望这是最后的了！
