ciscoworks安装问题
Installation -- Windows
The steps below guide you through a CiscoWorks LMS Bundle Installation on Windows platforms.
Guidelines
General guidelines/cautions before starting:
1.
Install on NTFS partition. Do not install using FAT partitions.
2.
Check for pre-SP3 patches. Check in the Windows Control Panel's "Add/remove programs" applet to see if pre-SP3 Service Pack is applied.
3.
Do not install Windows 2000 Advanced Server; disable Terminal Services if they are present in the Control Panel Services applet. These are not supported.
4.
Do not install remotely using Terminal Services.
5.
Login as the local Administrator to install and administer. DO NOT LOGIN as a domain administrator.
6.
Do not install this under the root directory. Please create the subdirectory you wish to use and then install (e.g.) Do not attempt to install to C:\ or D:\.
Note: If you do not have the original CD-ROM, but got the files from Cisco Systems Engineer OR a TAC engineer posted this on CCO, please ensure that the byte count matches the following:
CiscoWorks Component Windows Solaris
Cd-One 5th Ed 310,598,890 bytes 343,694,973 bytes
RME 3.4 35,090,866 bytes 36,586,544 bytes
Campus Manager 3.2 27,712,390 bytes 26,248,472 bytes
DFM 1.2 23,631,891 bytes 49,622,719 bytes
IPM 2.4 88,549,490 bytes 148,546,746 bytes
ACL Manager 15,853,935 bytes 19,747,765 bytes
7.
Assign a static IP address for the CiscoWorks server
8.
DNS entry for CiscoWorks should be configured correctly with PTR reccord as well. To check this, run nslookup CiscoWorks_server_name and nslookup IP_address. Both outputs should be consistent.
9.
If you are performing an upgrade install, ensure the you apply the patch_1x_20.pl mentioned in the upgrade (local or remote) install procedure. This is critical... failing to apply this patch will necessitate complete removal of CiscoWorks and reinstallation (see CSCdy62657).
10.
Test each application before installing the next, this keeps uninstalls to a minimum. For instance, after installing CD-One, test that CiscoView can be used. After RME, add a device to the inventory. After Campus, perform a discovery. |
