Siftware Engineer:

MAJOR ACTIVITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Design, implement, test, and maintain products
- Software analysis and design
- Write functional spec and design document
- Write high quality code to implement designed functions
- Perform code review
- Interact with external engineers to resolve technical problems
- Perform software bug fix
- Write technical documents

QUALIFICATIONS :
===============

- BS in Computer Science / EE, MS preferred
- 3+ years software developement work experience
- Knowledge in software development process
- Experience with the following Netcool products: Objectserver, gateways
Bi-Directional, Remedy, Reporter), probes (mttrapd, syslog), Impact, ISMs
- Experience installing and configuring Netcool applications
- Experience with all aspects of the Objectserver, including user
administration, automations and failover
- Experience with Omnibus v7 desired but not required
- Experience with Netcool Process Control (PA)
- Experience with Remedy and Reporter gateways
- Experience with mttrapd and syslog probes for Netcool, including
writing rules.
- Experience with Impact 3.1, including writing and implementing policies
- Experience with Internet Service Monitors (ISMs).
- Experience working in a mixed environment of Solaris, Linux and Windows
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Good documentation and writing skills
- Fluency in English
- Strong self-motivation
