应该是 iplanet 和 Netscape Directory Server 来的

Fedora Directory Server是从netscape买过来的，产品很成熟，我觉得比openldap要好很多，比如对ACI的支持

在一个行业里混久了。来来去去就是那么些人。
openldap sun on ldap ,netscape ldap 等等，其实都是一伙人弄的。
给个提示:是方舟子 的校友。但当然不是中科大。

奥...这个帖子又出来了.
看起源是不错,但产品归产品,说的通俗点就是祖宗好不一定子女佳.
redhat directory server我装过,Netscape Directory相关的那几个我都试过,redhat directory server安装的障碍很严重(大概半年前),现在的openldap发展非常快,redhat也是看到了这点,而且LDAP产品本身很有市场,所以开始找一个"好祖宗",对于他的评断,一定要装上试试.
对于ACL方面,所谓的好,是由于redhat directory server继承了祖宗最起码的特点.
其实openldap方面ACL非常灵活,有了slapd.d目录以后就更方便管理了.

装redhat directory server完全是出于对LDAP的兴趣，只是装了试了一下，没又做什么测试，所以也没什么能说给大家的经验。个人感觉如果是为学LDAP还是用OpenLDAP，以后需要用到其他的产品上手会很快。
