          Overview

                    
          The Database Edit Utility, allows users to view and update any file
          instantly without queries, DFU or programming on any iSeries file,
          also called AS400 file.
          Just type the command on a command line & prompt, enter the library,
          file name, along with any other options you choose and press Enter.
          Immediately, your file appears ready to be viewed or updated, its
          as easy as that.

          Add, update, delete, display, print records via logical paths or
          relative record numbers in any physical file using a spreadsheet-like
          interface.
          Display, update can be in one single record (one column or two columns)
          or multiple records, can be in character or hexadecimal mode.
          Keys can be set to access keyed physical files,logical files, select
          a file through data base relations layouts, or select a member through
          member list layouts.  
          Select certain fields to be displayed or updated through file field
          description layouts.
          Mass search, update, delete, print by using multiple search arguments.
          Library, file, member can be changed, selected any time.
          Save current views as an application program for next time use, so
          end-user under control of authority can use the application program,
          only can view, update certain information that is what IT managers,
          programmers had designed for them.

          Object/program reference provides an integrated set of cross-referencing,
          documentation for iSeries systems.
          Designed for IT managers, programmers to be more productive in working
          with new and existing systems.
          Based on your applications and builds a "where-used", "used by" and
          "how used" cross-reference of system objects. It tracks object usage,
          relationships between objects, file analysis and other important
          reference information. Have indented listings, identify orphaned objects.

          Output Journaled File, this command automatically output journaled
          file to an output file or printer file, so each changed entries of
          a file can be monitored time by time, set up a file changes history,
          so as to know who did change the record and fields, when the record
          and fields were changed, and use what kind of program changing the
          record and fields. It is the best way of keeping the safty of your
          production's data.

         
          Object Usage show any reference information of object, by setting up
          object synonym search function, user can find an object immediatly,
          it is convenient to bring this object to another command.


          Spooled file list spooled file on your system, you can give date
          selection to show a certain date's spooled file, it can automatically
          delete spooled file by specifying date range, also it has option to
          link to convert spooled file to IFS format file.
