help regarding installing python documentation

你下载的html文档，解压到什么目录了？

download the whole package of python 2.4.2 from python official website. when you install the package, you will find the .chm file in the python install directory. In the IDLE window, type the help( ), you can get the IDLE's help inside its online notes. HTML file I know nothing to handle it.
