请问大侠sybase iq和sybase ase的区别是什么？

我是初学者
很多基本概念分不清
我知道iq是关系型数据库
那么ase是什么呢？
他们之间上功能，特性的主要区别有那些呢
还有，我安装上iq之后，自动生成了一个asiqdemo的数据库
但是我安装了ase之后感觉没有什么反映
请问这个ase我需要在哪个组件里面配置呢？
我不需要特别深入的了解
只是通过client能连接调用即可

it is said that sybase iq is a kind of data warehouse product,other than sybase ase,which is a traditional database product.certainly,they are different from each other in many aspects.
you 'd better tell what client is on the way.

I have installed both Sybase IQand Sybase ASE in my own PC
and I can access the Tables in IQ throught the groupware named Interactive SQL Classic
and my question is how can I access the Tables in ASE
which groupware should I count on?

你要先创建ase的server，你就可以用了，再就可以创建自己的database了

generally,Interactive SQL is used to access data by way of ODBC.if you insist on using the same tool,odbc link to ASE database you want to visit should be created first.don't forget get odbc driver for ASE in advance.then you can continue your way.
on the other hand,ASE would be visited by openclient driver.iq also support openclient driver.commonly,iq should be released with openclient driver.you need to confirm correponding  environment parameter would be set properly besides some other configurations like interfaces (sql.ini in windows platform).
centainly,ASE database should be created first as you know.
