elfdump error

Hi,friends.

i got a problem of "elfdump" &"dis" executable file(for a common raison as u know to use some apps,), before i was using an O2/150MHz,both of them worked. but when i have upgraded to 400MHz and reinstalled IRIX(6.5.20m,same as previous installation),they won't run any more.
Here is the output of command"./elfdump -V":

1436:elfdump: rld: Error: unresolvable symbol in /usr/lib32/libc.so.1: _end
1436:elfdump: rld: Fatal Error: this executable has unresolvable symbols

any response will be appreciated...

Maybe u need re-compile u program.

u program call _end, but this call runtime not in system runtime library libc.so.1
which compiler u use? MIPSpro 7.4? Please install MIPSpro relate eoe

谢谢斑竹，刚才linux底下没挂中文...
事实上我不会用编译器，原来我记得把相应的elfdump拷贝到/usr/bin，就可以了。可是这回发觉不灵了。我刚才试了好几个版本的IRIX(6.5.14m/18m/19m/20m/24m/26m),机器也换了几台(R5000)。我也不知道怎麽回事。可是patchfile就可以用。

patchfile很简单的，定位到一个偏移，然后写些东西就好，这可以采用标准的子程序，所以不存在这问题，可是elfdump是获取编译的code里面的相应内容，所以应该要有编译环境的支撑，因为不同版本的编译程序对头的定义可能有相应的差别，另外你不要把64位的程序应用于32位的库，这样也不能执行的。
我想elfdump和dis的版本应该与你的编译环境相应就可以运行。
