原创：网络安装centos和centos无盘工作站的建立

一。 网络安装CENTOS

1. Config DHCP , DNS , NFS AND TFTP.
    # vi /etc/xinetd.d/tftp
        disable = no
    # service xinetd restart

2. Config DHCP
    # vi /etc/dhcpd.conf
        allow booting;
        allow bootp;
        class "pxeclients" {
        match if substring(option vendor-class-identifier, 0, 9) = "PXEClient";
        next-server 192.168.1.2;
        filename "linux-install/pxelinux.0";

3. Create netinstall directory
    # mkdir /netinsall/centos/
    # rsync -av /media/cdroom/  /netinsall/centos/

4. Config NFS
    # vi /etc/exports
        /netinsall/centos  *(rw,no_root_squash,sync)
    # exportfs -r     ###If you had been installed NIS,you need modify /etc/netgroup file.
   
5. Open system-config-netboot
    #system-config-netboot &
        go to the Main Menu Button (on the Panel) => System Settings =>  Server Settings => Network Booting Service
   


  6. Config Client pc BIOS and boot from NETWORK.
        ### Note ### your pc network card must support boot from network.

二。 无盘工作站的配置。

  1. Create diskless Directory
    # mkdir   /diskless/i386/centos/root/   -p
    # mkdir   /diskless/i386/centos/snapshot
   
  2. Copy  Centos Linux from the client system to the server using rsync
    # rsync -auv -e ssh --delete --exclude='/group/*' --exclude='/proc/*' --exclude='/sys/*'  --exclude='/tmp/*' --exclude='/var/log/*' root@bristol:/  /diskless/i386/centos/root/

  3. Config NFS
    # vi /etc/exports
         /diskless/i386/centos/root/ *(ro,no_root_squash,sync)
         /diskless/i386/centos/snapshot/ *(rw,sync,no_root_squash)
    # exportfs -r

  4. Open system-config-netboot
    # system-config-netboot &   ###If you don't install busybox RPM,you need install it first.
       go to the Main Menu Button (on the Panel) => System SettingsServer Settings => Network Booting Service

  5. Add host
    Click the New button to add hosts.
