*Software Engineer - Internationalization*

*Job Description:*
- Design, modify, develop, write and implement software programming
applications
- Support and/or install software applications
- Focus on developing and maintaining applications used in the
internationalization and localization of Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis,
test witnessing and certification of software
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires
evaluation of identifiable factors
*Job Requirement:*
- Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or Arts
- At least 2 years of programming experience in C/C++ environment
- Strong knowledge in Linux/UNIX operating system
- Strong knowledge in Software Internalization (il8n)
- Proficient in a variety of scripting languages, including python,
shell and perl preferred
- Extensive experience in the packaging and delivery of software for one
or more flavours of Linux/UNIX
- Experience in developing Linux Desktop applications
- Experience in developing applications for GTK/GNOME and QT/KDE
- Understanding of and experience in object-oriented design and coding
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English

*Job Description:*
- Develop, maintain and execute open source test suites for a portion of
Red Hat's Core OS packages (examples include LVM, bash, bind, cups,
linux-utils, gdb, gcc)
- Represent Red Hat to the community for certain on going testing
efforts and be responsible for placing these tests under Red Hat's
automated testing system
- Write tests, test plans, execute tests via Red Hat's automated test
infrastructure, evaluate test results and write bug reports
- Work with the open source community and contribute tests back to the
open source community
- Responsible for identifying what community based testing efforts we
should execute and incorporate in our automated testing infra-structure
*Job Requirement:*
- Bachelor's Degree Computer Science
- Solid programming C programming skills and at least one Unix scripting
language: i.e: bash, Perl, PHP etc
- At least 2 years of Unix experience
- Experience with development tools and compilers highly desirable
- Must be able to learn on the fly and multi-task
- Experience in Linux and Linux system administration highly preferred
- Experience in testing and test development a strong plus

*Job Description:*
- Service the largest computer manufacturers worldwide
- Define the globally supported Red Hat hardware ecosystem through
review of automated testing results, provide assistance to IHVs and
internal staff on the use, operate and debug the certification suite and
process as well as expand the overall experience for both IHVs and the
Hardware Catalog users
- Review and validate the certification results to ensure that they meet
or exceed criteria
- Post valid certifications and create knowledge base entries for
certified hardware
- Provide feedback, support as well as debug the certification process
and test runs to internal and external customers
- Assist in program development which may includes process, procedures
and software improvements
- Set up, install and transfer the representative hardware
- Will be involved in lifting of heavy systems and other hardware
*Job Requirement:*
- More than 2 years of experience in assembly and maintenance of PC hardware
- More than 2 years of experience in Linux installation and configuration
- In-depth understanding of RPM and Anaconda, including package
construction and complex installation scenarios
- In-depth understanding of shell programming and debugging
- Good understanding of Linux kernel and XFree86/X.org drivers and
configuration
- Experience in Quality Assurance a plus
- Knowledge in C, Python, Perl and Web programming a plus
- Experience in additional hardware platform (IBM Power, IBM zSeries,
Intel IPF)a plus
- Red Hat Certified Technician or equivalent experience (RHCE a plus)
- Self-motivated and excellent time management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
