DELL的6850装LINUX 4.0的AS和WS/ES 都装不上
各位好汉英雄,能请教点问题吗? DELL的6850装LINUX 4.0的AS和WS/ES 都装不上,且DELL那边技术说这个机器可以支持这个系统, 但是DELL售后不灵,解决不了,说是主板设计的时候是PS/2的键盘鼠标,结果出来机器是USB 的,这样使装上系统后重起,就是起不来机器了,停在那里说是检测键盘鼠标,卡住了, 可能说是需要个USB 驱动就能解决,我已经搞了一周了,天天研究,也没有弄明白,找个几个装过这个系统的,都没解决,您能解决吗? 拜托,江湖救急!谢谢,请喝啤酒!

Release Found: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 Update 2 and 3 x86_64

Limitation:
This problem has been seen in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 update 2 and 3 on the x86_64 architecture.

Symptom:
The Dell PowerEdge 6850 hangs with the error:

Loading megaraid_mbox driver...

Solution:


Pass the options "acpi=off nousb" to the kernel at boot time on an installed system:

If the system cannot boot or hangs without continuing, go to linux rescue mode by booting into the first installation CD and on the bot prompt, type: boot: linux rescue
Let the system go through the choices and it will drop down to the bash prompt. Mount the filesystems by executing: chroot /mnt/sysimage
Edit the /etc/grub.conf with a text editor.
Add acpi=off nousb to the kernel line. For example: ctitle Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS (2.6.9-25.EL)
        root (hd0,0)
        kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.9-25.EL ro root=/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 rhgb quiet acpi=off nousb
        initrd /initrd-2.6.9-25.EL.img
Save the file and reboot.
In an installation, pass the option off at the boot prompt. At the boot prompt, type:

boot: linux  acpi=off nousb
This will prevent the hang from occuring and allow the system to install the 64-bit version of Enterprise Linux on the Dell Poweredge 6850.

Note:On large SMP system, specify "acpi=off" at the boot line to complete the installation. However, depending on the system, there may not be a need to add "acpi=off" to the kernel line in the bootloader config file ( /etc/grub.conf). If it seems that the kernel is ignoring the hyperthreading capabilities of the CPUs (ie., it's only seeing half of the logical CPUs), remove "acpi=off" from the kernel line and reboot the system.

解决办法，到了这个地方，把键盘和鼠标换插一下！没错，我没有发疯！就是这么烂，进入系统登陆还要再换插！如何彻底解决？我还不知道！

我们安装的是redhat as 4 ,机器是HP ML 370 G4,增加了Proliant smart array 642阵列卡，本地有四个硬盘。做
raid5，安装linux没有任何问题，但没有办法启动，在启动时提示如下信息。
